This policy explains how W J Crighton Painters & Decorators ("we", "us") handles personal data collected through this website. We are the data controller for that information.

What we collect

• Details you submit through the enquiry form: what you need done, your phone number and your location.
• Anything you choose to include when you call, text or email us.
• Anonymous usage statistics, only if you accept analytics cookies.

Why we use it

To respond to your enquiry, quote for work and carry out any job you go ahead with. Our lawful bases are legitimate interests (replying to an enquiry you started) and, where work is agreed, performance of a contract.

Who we share it with

Enquiry form submissions are processed and stored by Formspree, our form provider, and emailed to us. We do not sell your data or pass it to anyone else for marketing.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within 12 months. Records relating to completed work are kept for six years to meet tax and accounting requirements.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email williedecor3@yahoo.co.uk and we will respond within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
